Happy Pentecost! I pray that you all are doing well! I am excited to share about how God has been working in our lives these last two months of the semester, and to also share about my hopes for this next year of mission at CMU!
It was so good to be with everyone for Holy Week and Easter after returning from Peru! A lot of our students joined us for the Easter Vigil Mass. To celebrate, we had a big brunch at the girls' house and took our joy to campus and Newman all that week too.
“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” - John 20:21
A few of my freshmen guys ran for positions at our student elections! Drew is our House Coordinator and Robert is head of Friday fun events for next year. These are important responsibilities for outreach to students, so it is awesome to see them take them on!
We can finally start bringing outdoor games like Spikeball and frisbee to campus for our outreach again! We've met some awesome new people like Jason and Payton, and it has been a great way to model the Little Way of Evangelization to our students too.
All of the guys in my Bible study are in discipleship now, since I invited Brenden at the end of April! Furthermore, I'll be walking with 3 of them in starting to lead their own Bible studies next semester. I am so excited to see what God will do through their yes!
“I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” - Isaiah 43:19
I'm happy to share that I will be returning to CMU next school year for my third year on mission! I am excited to continue building relationships with students I've met this year, and to walk with them as they begin to be more fully on mission to their peers!
My teammate Jacky will be staying here next year too, but we will sadly be saying goodbye to Brian and Ally. Our new teammates next year will be my friend Joseph, who I went to school with, and Clare, who is friends with Jacky! Please keep us all in your prayers as we make this transition!
I thought it would also be a good time to share that for the past 6 months Allison and I have been dating! She lives with my female teammates and teaches math at a nearby high school. Please keep our relationship in your prayers, and God willing you'll see her more!
This summer I will be helping at training in Lincoln, NE as a member of the Liturgy Committee! I will also be keeping in touch with my disciples to continue growing in their faith over their break. I would love the chance to meet with you in person also!
I am so grateful for your prayerfulness and generosity. Thank you so much for being my partner in this mission! I cannot wait to journey forward with you into summer and this next year!
In The Spirit of God, Zach
